MOTHER
Earth is not just my mother
she is the mother of earth
she births herself each day
no movie theater claw-foot
tub birth
infinity decomposition arid
condensation birth
sediment birth
double rainbow
mucus pockmark birth
crow's feet sun spot
fungus birth
manmade brocade like a
doctor’s thin blanket
laid out across
her pulsing body
as she delivers
herself
to herself.
